The Great Highway Robbery Continues: How The FDIC Is Legally Transferring Billions In Taxpayer Money To Hedge Funds
It is not a secret to anyone who has been closely following the FDIC’s quasi criminal bank takeover practices over the past year, that acquirors of failed banks end up receiving a massive and risk-free gift in the form of taxpayer benefits via the FDIC when it comes to funding losses on a given bank acquisition. Should there be a short sale resulting in a loss to the full principal (not the cost basis mind you)? Not to worry, Sheila Bair is there to hand out taxpayer money to the hedge funds/banks owning the newly transferred assets. A recent example of this was the glaring insider trading which preceded the acquisition of failed AmTrust Bank by New York Community Bancorp, in which both NYB and those who bought calls in advance of information being made public, made massive illegal profits. And as the SEC continues to pretend like this episode never happened, we remind the intellectually subprime Mary Schapiro to finally pursue those involved, and will continue doing so for as long as it takes. But back to the FDIC: the folks at Think Big Work Small have compiled a terrific video detailing exactly how several hedge funds, currently owners of recently created shell holding company OneWest Bank, are picking apart the carcass of failed IndyMac, all the while encouraging short sales (instead of loan mods) as only that way do they get to benefit fully from the taxpayer funded FDIC loss-share arrangements which makes the IndyMac transaction an immediate slam dunk for everyone involved…except America’s taxpayers, and the FDIC’s ever depleting DIF reserve. Cetatenii sunt de 20 de ani victimele luptelor pentru Putere dintre partidele politice. Obsesia guvernarii - a pastrarii sau a ajungerii la privilegiile conferite de aceasta - a transformat Romania intr-un camp de lupta electoral. Distanta dintre interesele alesilor si cele ale alegatorilor se mareste de la o zi la alta. Realitatea in care traiesc cei multi, napastuiti si ingrijorati de un viitor tot mai incert difera radical de cea in care se lafaie minoritarii de serviciu din politica postdecembrista. Anul 2010 se anunta unul dificil. Mai greu chiar decat cel precedent. Somajul continua sa se indrepte vertiginos spre doua cifre. Justitia se afla in asteptarea unui nou Raport dezamagitor de la Bruxelles, in care inexistenta reformei, coruptia galopanta si influentele politice din actul de judecata vor fi, din nou, aspru criticate.
Sistemul de Educatie este amenintat, la randul sau, cu un nou val de reforme care il au in prim-plan pe proaspatul ministru. Si in Sanatate situatia este una agonizanta, in conditiile unui deficit alarmant de personal si a unei subfinantari ce isi va pune amprenta si in acest an. Administratia publica merge mai departe, impinsa cu brutalitate de la spate de o clasa politica dornica sa isi propulseze non-valorile in fruntea miilor de institutii deconcentrate. Totul se negociaza. Totul are un pret. Totul este posibil in urma negocierilor (a se citi compromisuri) politice. Guvernantii mimeaza, din plin, solidaritatea cu o populatie grav afectata de o criza ce pare a nu se mai termina. Austeritatea razbate din Palatul Victoria doar prin declaratiile alesilor. Guvernantii, intr-o proportie uriasa, aceiasi de anul trecut, stiu ca migratia politica ii poate salva de la inevitabilele motiuni simple si de cenzura. Iar partidele din Opozitie sunt pline de profitori care au descoperit, brusc, divergente de opinie si o incompatibilitate evidenta cu formatiunile din care fac parte. Bancile incomode ale Opozitiei nu atrag, iar ispita includerii tale in angrenajul banos, chiar si pe perioada de criza al unei Puteri ce vrea sa acapereze totul, devine de nerefuzat. Iar guvernatii prind, astfel, tot mai mult tupeu, simtindu-se protejati in fata acuzelor Opozitiei. Se amagesc ca iluzoria majoritate parlamentara, formata din parlamentari cumparati la kilogram, ii protejeaza, automat, si in fata unei populatii dezamagite. Amanarea miscarilor sindicale a fost posibila doar in urma unui nou val de promisiuni lansat de la Palatul Victoria, promisiuni ce vor avea in curand un efect de bumerang asupra aceluiasi guvern iresponsabil. Amagirea populatiei, tehnica supravietuirii de pe o zi pe alta prin imprumuturi disperate si propaganda electorala inutila reprezinta o tactica sinucigasa pentru cei ce cred ca romanii vor accepta la nesfarsit sa fie mintiti si sfidati.

Documentarul “Sfidatorul”(El Sfidante) de care va vorbesc astazi face parte din acea categorie de creatii (filme, carti, etc) care au impactul unei adevarate revelatii asupra noastra. Eu cel putin de la Zeitgeist si Cartile lui Ramtha n-a mai trait asa ceva. E senzatia ca deodata cineva iti spune limpede, cu lux de amanunte, ce gandeai confuz, ce intuiai in subconstient dar nu gaseai formula sau ocazia sa le cristalizezi in limbajul conventional. Presarat cu citate din maestri si indrumatori spirituali (Tolle, Abelar, Castaneda, etc dar si din…Matrix!) textul lui Giulio Achili are o forta si un impact extraordinare, explicabil daca ne gandim la universalitatea problemei pe care o trateaza-inchisoarea mintii. Achili nu se limiteaza insa la observarea si descrierea fenomenului ci traseaza modalitati concrete de evadare de sub influenta unui adversar invizibil. (baniinostrii.ro)

The American biotechnology firm, Monsanto, has applied for a patent for pig breeding in 160 countries. The patent is for specific parts of the genetic material of pigs which Monsanto’s genetic researchers have decoded. If this patent is granted, pig breeding would be possible with the approval of the company.
Farmers and breeders are naturally alarmed because these genes have long existed in the great majority of their pigs. Using DNA tests they can prove that there is no new invention in the patent applications but that, instead, granting this patent would be to allow a part of nature to fall into the hands of a single company.
Monsanto’s influence on the patent offices is huge. If the patent is approved, money will have to be paid to Monsanto for every pig in the world carrying this genetic marker. This has long been the case for certain feedstuffs, such as genetically modified maize. Many farmers in the US have already become dependent on the company. It is not merely a question of money, however, but also a question of the risk posed to consumers. In America, as in Europe, cases of infertility in animals fed with genetically modified maize are becoming increasingly common. No-one yet knows what effects such products are having on humans.
